Holding the Kickoff Event “Leading Japan to Become a Global Top Runner in the Circular Economy”
The Resource Recycling Council (RRC; General Incorporated Association) will hold a kickoff event on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., hosted by RRC with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (planned).
This council has welcomed about 100 member companies and organizations thanks to the participation of various board members actively involved in the fields of the circular economy (CE), sustainability, and startups. They include frontline practitioners who shape resource recycling-related rulemaking in environmental administration, top executives of key companies in both upstream and downstream industries, and professionals dedicated to supporting the creation of new industries and startups as well as sustainability management.
At this event, in preparation for the council’s full-scale launch in January 2024, we will create a forum to discuss the future vision of the circular economy that the council aspires to achieve, together with our board of directors, members, companies and organizations that are sponsors and Observers, and a variety of other guests who share the same goals.
Participants representing all facets of the circular economy—whether upstream or downstream—will gather, signifying the whistle that kicks off the match to lead Japan to become a global top runner in the circular economy. We invite you to attend this event with colleagues or friends who are interested in the circular economy (partial attendance and stepping out midway are also possible). We look forward to seeing you there!
