Steering Committee Meeting

In order to more strategically advance policy recommendations related to resource recycling, which we are focusing on this fiscal year, we have established a new “Steering Committee” with the aim of building a system that seeks cooperation from experts with specialized knowledge in Japan and overseas and people with a wide network.
On April 25, 2025, a meeting of the Steering Committee was held.

At the request of the Secretary General, the Steering Committee is responsible for coordinating with stakeholders and supporting the content of policy recommendations for important projects to be implemented under the leadership of the Secretariat.

At this meeting, an interim report was made on “Theme 1: Solving the Problem of Residues at Plastic Recycling Facilities and Recycling of Difficult-to-Recycle Products,” which was one of the policy recommendation themes to be addressed this term, and valuable opinions and advice were received from Steering Committee members and observers.
